From a Few to More Than 1,200 a Year
During the COVID lockdown, our auntie's beloved parol stopped working. Unable to travel to the Philippines to replace it, we discovered that her brother in Pampanga made them by hand.
What started as an attempt to bring a few parols home for family and friends became something we never expected.
We worked to import our first shipment, ordering enough parols for close friends and family with just a few extras to sell. By the middle of November, every one was gone. That first Christmas showed us just how many families were looking for an easier way to find authentic Filipino parols here in the United States.
Six years later, we work with Filipino artisans to bring handmade parols, Christmas decorations, ornaments, and handicrafts to families across North America. Our products are made in the Philippines, commercially imported, stocked at our location in Ohio, and ready to make their way to your home.
Today, we import more than 1,200 parols each year.
Still Family Run
Parols of America may look a little different than it did six years ago, but we're still a small, family-run business. We're the people behind the products, shipments, customer emails, and busy Christmas seasons.
And Our Family Is Growing, Too
This year, we're preparing to welcome our first child in November 2026. Building a business centered around Filipino traditions passed from one generation to the next feels even more meaningful as we prepare to share those traditions with the next generation of our own family.
Bringing the Light Home
For some, a parol is a beautiful Christmas decoration. For others, it's a memory of Christmas in the Philippines, a tradition from childhood, or something they want their own children to grow up with.
